Restore Clarity

Clear Headlights. Without the High Cost of Replacements
Over time, your car’s headlights can become cloudy, yellowed, or hazy, making your vehicle look older and reducing nighttime visibility on the Houston roads. Most of the time, the hazy buildup is on the outside of the lens due to oxidation, UV damage, and road debris.
We’ll remove the oxidation, restore clarity, and apply a protective coating to keep your headlights looking crystal clear for the long haul.
How the Headlight Restoration Process Goes
We don’t take shortcuts or use retail level headlight repair kits. Our process goes beyond a quick fix—following a multi-step restoration process, including sanding, compounding, polishing, and applying protection to give your headlights clarity that lasts.
Step 1: Sanding with 800 Grit
The first sanding step removes the heaviest oxidation and surface damage from the headlight. Lots of cloudy residue will be coming off, stripping away years of buildup.
Step 2: Sanding with 1,000 Grit
Now that the heavy oxidation is gone, the surface is refined further, smoothing out imperfections and preparing the headlight for the next stages.
Step 3: Sanding with 2,000 Grit
At this point, the headlight is starting to clear up. This finer grit removes any remaining sanding marks and further smooths the surface.
Step 4: Sanding with 3,000 Grit
This final sanding stage achieves peak clarity of the headlight and preps the lens for polishing, ensuring a smooth, uniform finish.
Step 5: Compound
Using a machine polisher, cutting pad, and high-quality compound, we remove any sanding marks and restore clarity to the headlights.
Step 6: Polish
A final polish brings out the most clarity, making your headlights look as good as new.
Step 7: Protection
To lock in the clarity and prevent future oxidation, we apply a 1-year ceramic coating to the headlights, ensuring long-lasting protection against UV rays, pollution, and road grime.
What Causes Cloudy or Yellowed Headlights?
Your headlights don’t just fade overnight—there are a few key factors that cause them to become cloudy, yellowed, and dull over time.
UV Damage: Prolonged exposure to the sun’s UV rays gradually degrades the clear coat on your headlights, leading to discoloration and hazing. This is especially common for cars parked outside for long periods under Houston’s intense sun.
Oxidation: When the outer layer of the headlight lens is exposed to oxygen, it starts to degrade, creating a cloudy, foggy appearance. Pollution, smog, and chemicals in the air accelerate the oxidation process, making it harder for your headlights to maintain their original clarity.
Road Debris & Weather Conditions: Houston’s weather isn’t always kind to your car. Rain, humidity, and road grime can cause buildup and surface damage, further contributing to headlight discoloration.
The good news? Our professional headlight restoration service removes oxidation, restores clarity, and protects your headlights from future damage—helping you drive safer and keep your car looking fresh.
